A.I.1 Fashion Atelier

Nato da un'idea di Clara Tosi Pamphili e curato da Alessio de Navasques è un vero e proprio “Fuori Altaroma”, un percorso esterno che sottolinea le caratteristiche del mood della manifestazione, l’incontro tra Moda e Arte; da qui la scelta degli studi d’artista come luogo per presentare gli stilisti artigiani d’avanguardia. Il rapporto fra gli artisti e gli artigiani ha molte affinità: la ricerca artigianale, non subendo tempistiche stagionali, è un percoso molto più lungo e profondo, che può arrivare a durare anche diversi anni, sovrapponendosi a un percorso artistico piuttosto che a un processo strettamente di trend.

Sandro Chia apre il suo studio all’orto botanico per accogliere la collezione di Selene Giorgi: abiti dai tagli molteplici, realizzati con tessuti e filati pregiatissimi da una manualità d’altri tempi e concepiti come capi scultorei che rifiutano l’idea di moda legata alle stagioni. La design presenterà per la prima volta a Roma il progetto del suo Mutabito.

Born from a Clara Tosi Pasmphili’s idea,
et attended by Alessio Navasques, A.I.1 Fashion Atelier, is a real “Fuori Altaroma”, an external way that emphasize the mood of the show, the meeting between Fashion and Art. From here, the choice to use Artist’s studios as a scene to introduce the craftsmen stylists avant-gardes. Between artists and craftsmen there are many affinity; handicraft search, cannot follow the seasonal time, is a very long and deep search, even years long, therefore, is similar to an artistic way rather a trendily process.

Sandro Chia as opened his own studio to the botanical garden to give hospitality to Selene Giorgi’s collection. Dresses with multiple lengths, accomplished using very high weaves and yarns by an unusual manual skill and conceived as a sculptural article that refuse the fashion idea joined to the seasons. La Design will introduce, for the first time in Rome, his Mutabito project.
